Guarantee

The breeder guarantees that the puppy is a purebred Shiba Inu. The puppy is sold as a pet. The breeder guarantees that this animal has no genetic defects or congenital diseases, and this guarantee is valid for a period of two (2) years, including the following cases: severe hip and elbow dysplasia, and severe patellar luxation (must not be due to injury). For the guarantee to apply, the disease must seriously affect the animal's life, or if the puppy dies naturally and is diagnosed by a veterinarian with a congenital defect that caused death during this period, it will be replaced with a puppy of equal value. If the buyer refuses the replacement puppy, the seller will then refund 50% of the purchase price less any medical expenses already covered. The buyer may keep the first puppy if they demonstrate they can provide the necessary care. No compensation will be provided for treatment costs by the seller unless previously authorized by the breeder. In the event of death, an autopsy conducted by the St-Hyacinthe Veterinary Hospital is required, and the costs will be borne by the buyer. This autopsy must clearly specify the cause of death. The animal must be clearly identified with its microchip number. The puppy will be covered by a fourteen (14) day guarantee against viral diseases after leaving the breeder. The puppy must be diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian within fourteen (14) days to validate this guarantee (at the buyer's expense), and the seller must be notified immediately upon receiving the diagnosis. If a viral disease is diagnosed, the breeder agrees to reimburse up to a maximum of $750. These costs must be authorized in advance by the breeder. In the event of death, the preceding clauses will apply (autopsy by the St-Hyacinthe Veterinary Hospital). Proof of vaccination for other household animals may be required to validate this guarantee, and the guarantee may be voided if their vaccinations are not up to date. The buyer agrees to provide all necessary care for the puppy and not to change its food during the guarantee period. Should the seller be unable to deliver a puppy (for example, due to accidental death), the buyer may choose another puppy. In the event of legal action, a lawsuit, or any claim in court, the proceedings must take place in the judicial district of Quebec City. The guarantee is not transferable. If the buyer no longer wishes to keep the dog, they are obligated to contact the breeder, who has the right of first refusal, and the breeder can assist in finding a new home for the dog.
